SOFT MAPLE

Soft maple offers white sapwood that is slightly lighter in colour than that of sugar maples. Its heart varies from grey to reddish brown with brown filaments. Soft maple has a grain similar to sugar maple but is 25% softer making it an excellent option for furniture, mouldings, architectural millwork and turnings.
